Mandurah Panel and Paint opens new state-of-the-art facility

Mandurah Panel and Paint, a successful collision repairer is proud to announce the opening of its new state-of-the-art rapid repair Greenfield facility in the south of Perth, Western Australia.

Mandurah Panel and Paint is an authorised Subaru repairer and approved repairer for several high profile companies, catering for all vehicle makes and models. With the successful operation continuing to see growth, Mark Brady, Managing Director of Mandurah Panel and Paint decided to step-up their already high standards of quality workmanship and customer service to the next level.

The new facility boasts 850 square metres of floor space, and includes two Low Bake preparation bays and an infrared oven. The facility was built with capacity to handle a high volume of vehicle repairs every week. “The new facility will improve our efficiency as a company and team. We also anticipate a reduction in our cycle times for repairs and to half the total repair time.” said Mark.

Not only is the new facility a great investment in the future of the company, being a member of AkzoNobel’s Acoat Selected program has been beneficial to the implementation of the new facility for the team. “Acoat Selected was integral in the planning of the new facility and their expertise certainly aided in the building and our smooth transition into the facility. They partnered with us and were available throughout all stages of the complex process.”

With a technologically superior facility, the Mandurah team were always only going to use the best in paint technology. The Mandurah Panel and Paint team have chosen to partner with Sikkens and use its premium waterborne system known for its ease-of-use, color accuracy and a brilliant finish. “Using Sikkens waterborne paint system was always going to be the smart choice for us at the new facility. It is the latest in waterborne technology and matches up well with our new infrared drying system.”

The facility opened on the 15 September 2014, and the team are already seeing the benefits in working in a new environment with all the right tools and processes to help them improve their business.
